Branding: Set Up Guardrails

Defining who we are and who we are not.

Guardrail (noun): a rail that prevents people from falling off or being hit by something

Ha! Sounds kind of intense for a branding analogy, but there is so much truth here. In an effort to be good stewards of our brand, we want to build in protection from veering off course from what we set out to do -- which is working for those who are working for good.

Strong branding is a sense of identity for your company - it sets up your guardrails and really defines who you are within your industry. We decided to walk the walk and revisit this exercise.

Defining (or redefining) who we are and who we are not as a company is fun, reaffirming and directing -- it helps us to better serve and support our clients so that they can spend their time doing good in the world around them.

Who are we not?

We are not strictly website builders or logo designers -- we are brand builders and large-scale project designers.

We say no to these questions: We only need a logo - can you help out? Do you make websites?

We are not fast and cheap. We are not disorganized. We are not too big to try something brand new.

So, who are we?

We are holistic, thoughtful and streamlined. We create strong branding and creative design.

We start every project by identifying what makes your brand unique (in every way, not just visuals) and design from there.

We work with clients who have a strong sense of who they are and what the impact is that they want to make. We participate in the story that our clients are telling.
